Delia Calixtro, B.S., C.A.C.

Delia is a CFM qualified MBSR Teacher by the Oaisis Institute at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is a certified addiction counselor, and certified mindfulness Ambassador through Mindfulness without Borders, sponsored by the University of Toronto, Canada.
Delia has worked in New York City as a group facilitator with chemical abusing / mentally ill (CAMI) patients for 16 years. In 2002, She began to teach Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, a treatment approach based on behavioral and cognitive psychology and Zen philosophy. She has been practicing and teaching Hatha Yoga and meditation since 1974. She began her professional MBSR path in 2014. She attends yearly silent retreats with world-renowned teachers. Delia continues to study Mindfulness from the perspective of science and ancient contemplative teachings. She incorporates mindfulness practices in one on one counseling and weekly groups at the Olympia Fitness Center in Aventura, Florida.
