Now, more than ever, teenagers are experiencing increased levels of stress. As many as 70% of adolescents report being negatively affected by the academic pressures of school, the difficulties of getting into the “right” college, and the challenges of balancing a range of extracurricular activities. They also report repeated conflicts with peers and family members.  Over half of all teens feel pressures from social media, and a growing number are victims of cyber bullying.

Without even realizing it, adolescents today are over stimulated and often detached from family and friends.
Constantly surrounded by cell phones and 24/7 social media, they lose their ability to connect with their thoughts, feelings, and bodies. Not surprisingly, 90% of teenagers even report that they are disconnected from nature.
